Mayman Aerospace RAZOR VTOL Completes Fully Autonomous Inaugural Flight

April 22, 2026

Mayman Aerospace RAZOR P100 Achieves Historic Autonomous VTOL Milestone

Mayman Aerospace has successfully completed the fully autonomous inaugural flight of its RAZOR P100 vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The tests were conducted at the US Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, validating the company's proprietary AI-driven flight control software, SKYFIELD.

SKYFIELD enables the aircraft to navigate complex environments, make real-time operational adjustments, and will facilitate seamless swarming capabilities integrated with Battle Management Systems. Notably, SKYFIELD is designed for flawless operation in GPS-denied and heavily contested electronic warfare environments.

The RAZOR TBX variant also completed a beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) flight carrying a 50-pound payload. The RAZOR family targets niche applications including high-end logistics, emergency response, and defense missions, differentiating itself in the UAS market with unique design and autonomous capabilities.

What This Means for B2B Buyers

This milestone signals a new era for autonomous cargo drones in defense and logistics sectors. For B2B buyers in military supply chain, emergency response, and high-end logistics, the RAZOR platform offers reliable autonomous operations even in GPS-denied or contested environments, reducing human risk and increasing mission efficiency. The validated BVLOS capability with payload support opens immediate opportunities for long-range, unmanned cargo delivery.

Key Capabilities Validated

  • Fully autonomous VTOL flight without human intervention
  • SKYFIELD AI software for real-time navigation adjustments
  • Seamless swarming integration with Battle Management Systems
  • Operation in GPS-denied and electronic warfare environments
  • BVLOS flight carrying 50-pound payload (RAZOR TBX variant)
